Paras out of life support; takes water sip
KATHMANDU, MAR 04 - Former crown prince Paras Shah who has been undergoing treatment in Thai Capital Bangkok has been taken out of life support on Sunday following improvement in his health. He has started to communicate with his relatives and take sips of water by himself from Monday, said a statement issued by Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital where Shah has been admitted.The former crown prince has shown gradual improvement since his regained consciousness on Saturday.
The former crown prince was put on ventilator support even since he was admitted to the Hospital on February 19 after he suffered a cardiac arrest with injury to his brain.
Shah came regained his consciousness after his blood pressure and body temperature returned to normal. Doctors successfully performed balloon angioplasty on him.
"Shah will have to undergo MRI and his neurological status will be reassessed in detail in a few days. He will require prolonged physiotherapy," said the statement issued by the hospital.
